DMW Pro Testing Progress
10.11.08 10:11h -=[U|F]=-Trinitrotoluene

Dave Cash, DMW chief executive officer:

"After succesfull and some very strange bug fixing, with lots of 1 on 1 support and small countries worth of coffee beans, we have finally signed off R2 (Initial Webpanel and connection functionality).

Tomorrow GOLDS (clans with Gold membership, who test DMW Pro) will move onto R3 File/Cvar and Memory Engine testing, hopefully this will move quicly and move to R4 (Advanced protection) Testing."

There are about 6 "R" stages to test. So like he said, hopefully this will move quickly... After all: the initial plan of DMW was to release DMW Pro to the public on November 1st.

DMW Pro to enter GOLD BETA
29.10.08 09:19h -=[U|F]=-Trinitrotoluene

DMW Chief executive officer Dave Cash:

"After long discussions at DMW, and also many posts and emails from GOLD members we have had a meeting today to discuss current Rollout schedule and stability assestments.

The Release of DMW will involve a total replacement of the DMW system, including

  • The new website, management system and database
  • New server framework
  • World Server Profession backbone system
  • Multi-tier download/update servers
  • New client for all users, including new detection systems, communications layer and FAITH technology
  • New scanner and scanning engine
  • New pre-emptive system
  • New Webpanel based administration for scanner control
  • New support system, and FAQ integration

We are going to release the whole system to the GOLD clans on the 1st November, for their review, opinions and to test stability and functionality.

With the massive costs involved to DMW in the development of DMW Pro, even thou we believe a full roll out will run smoothly, the risk of any major problems would cause clans to not have cheat protection, lack of trust in the new product and worries of time frame to fix issues.

As most of you have already said, "Hope its Pro" , well we want it to be, and with the help of our GOLD clans that have backed us all the way, I feel left in their hands they will make sure the software is release is top quality form.

I understand any comments and people that may be disappointed by this post, but we are doing this to offer the greatest service to our customers and we hope you will support us in this decision and we look forward to the GOLD members review on the product."

The public release will take place a bit later:

"Well this isnt for continued development, we beleive the product to be stable and any issues will be simple ones to resolve, we will not be holding the release on functionality, and we are hoping the GOLD clans to approve the release in a week."

So, DMW Pro will be released to the public around the 8th of November. That is if they keep their word this time.
